I had bought an older edition of this commentary entitled Liberty Bible Commentary (from Liberty University) at a second hand book store several years ago. I wanted a new copy but could not find one under that name. It is the best Bible with a commentary I have ever studied. I later found they sold the commentary to Nelson and they changed the name to KJV Bible Commentary. I ordered a copy not knowing they had dropped the Bible verses from it. The old version had the Bible verses on one side of the page and the commentary on the other side making it easy to read the commentary with the Bible. The commentary has not changed except for larger print. I am disappointed they did not include the Bible verses in this new edition. It is so much easier to study with the Bible and the commentary in the same book.

I have to give the Commentary content a 10 but a low rating for the changes Nelson made by not including the Bible with it. I do recomend the commentary to all serious students of the Bible.

This Commentary is the best I have ever used in preparing my Sunday School lessons.

If you hold the view that the KJV are the most correct translation and want a commentary with that viewpoint, then this is not the commentary for you. Comments with the view point that certain scriptures in the King James were added are made regulary.

Very easy to use. Contains verse-by-verse explanations in one book without the need of several volumes as some commentaries.
