If you just want the original text, and that's it, then I would recommend it. but it's definitely nothing fancy looking, don't let the pictures fool you. it's supposed to resemble a vintage look, but it's just a polished looking pew bible and it's just something you would put on your shelf and show others who wanted to see what the 1611 text was like. even though it's in Roman font and not Gothic like the real 1611. for a 400 year anniversary edition, it's a rather sorry reproduction. If you want it presented better, I would get a more expensive version, I was surprised with the price, but I definitely got what I paid for.
Great Product! Would recommend to anyone interested in studying older versions of the Holy Word of Almighty God. I would view the Apocrypha as history more so than scripture because they are not inspired.
This is a wonderful keepsake and family heirloom! How fitting a way to mark the 400th anniversary of the Divine-inspired unifying of Scripture into one text and one language to go out to the four corners of the earth!
I highly recommend this wonderful demonstration of God having influenced the King of England to follow the Great Commission by uniting Spirit-filled scholars to combine the many texts of Scripture in their original tongues and combining them in one Book under one tongue.
The King James Version of the Bible is the first and only complete Bible commissioned by a sovereign King for the benefit of all mankind ... and, thus, it has a special place in my heart!
I have more than one version of the original King James Version of the Bible, but this one is magnificently bound and complete in text. I ordered one as our new Family Bible to be a light about our mantle piece for friends and visitors alike!
