The Gospel According to Jazz CD 5 5 3 3

I loved this CD so much, I searched the net for the Chapter 2 version. I purchased both Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 for my mom's memorial service. She loved light jazz, and I wondered how I was going to incorporate the gospel with some light jazz and came across The Gospel According to Jazz, Chapter 1. It was perfect! Everyone at my mom's memorial service raved about the music we played during dinner. Get them both, Chapter 1 and Chapter 2, you won't regret it!!! June 12, 2008

The Gospel According to Jazz by Kirk Whalum is a master piece. I love the instrumentation and the flow of the lead instruments. Over here, we are so proud of Kirk. Many of my saxophone students want to be like him. Thumbs up sir!!! December 3, 2007

Wonderful album, good combination of instrumentalists with guest guitarist Paul Jackson. I fell in love with the album most especially the track 'Wade in the water', great concepts. January 25, 2001
