3 Stars Out Of 5
A slight let down
November 5, 2012
I love Karen Kingsbury, I have to admit to being a little let down by this collection. For me Where Yesterday Lives was the best of the three. I thought Ellen was a character that I could connect with easily. Her trials were something I could connect with. When Joy Came to Stay was well written in the beginning, but about half way through I started to get bored, I liked Maggie's character a lot, but just was something missing, and by the time I made it to On Every Side my inspiration for reading was more or less gone. The story took on a almost rhetorical turn. I would recommend this book to others but also recommend they not try and read it all at the same time, treat each story as a new book take a few days in between. And I'm still a Kingsbury fan.
I received this collection for free from the Waterbrook Multnomah Publishing Group in exchange for an honest review.
