Tell us a little about yourself. Here's how I decided to become a Christian: When I was a kid, I had a dream about Chilly Willie, the cartoon penguin. He drowned and went to cartoon heaven where he sat on a cloud and strummed a harp. This seemed so boring, that it really scared. But I went to summer camp at Calvin Crest and the speaker said that the same God who created the beauty of world around us and provided the fun of that very fun week had better things in store in heaven. So I prayed to receive Christ as my Lord and Savior. (I just hope that just as Chilly Willie played a part in bringing me to Christ, Bill does for the same for some kids out there.)
What was your motivation behind this project? This is one of the first Bill books that carries a plot line all the way through.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? I hope this book help kids to know a very wonderful piece of Scripture, the Love Chapter, I Corinthians 13.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? As a kid, I loved John D. Fitzgerald's "The Great Brain" book series (the first five books.) I greatly enjoyed reading about kids living in another time. Which might also explain my love for Mark Twain's "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer".
Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: Sometimes, if your finger touches something really hot, you can put your finger to your earlobe and your earlobe will absorb some of the heat.
