    This review was written for Kids' Bible Dictionary.
    What exactly is a locust? Or unleavened bread? What are the general epistles? What's the Pentateuch? All these questions and many more are answered in Kids' Bible Dictionary by Jean Fischer. Whether your children want to look up the name of a person in the Bible, are curious what a plumb line is, or don't understand a biblical term like "self denial," this book is a terrific guide.The illustrations alone are invaluable. Want to know what the Ark of the Covenant looked like? This book has a color photograph of a golden replica. Wonder how centurions dressed? Study a photo of a statue of a centurion from the time of Jesus. Curious whether the giants in the Bible could have been real? Check out the 20th century photo of a real giant, over 8 feet tall.The text entries are succinct, interesting, and offer biblical notation for further study. Controvesial issues are covered with diplomacy. For example, under "Rapture," the text reads: "An idea that some have about what will happen when Christ returns. Some people believe that when Christ comes back, the redeemed with be changed..." and so on. Other entries are clearly included for kids browsing the book - like: "Hair. The fluffy stuff on your head. Jesus said that God knows everything about everybody. He even knows how many hairs you have on your head. Would you want to count all those hairs? Matthew 10:30"What I Like: Everything! This book is pleasing to the eye, uses humor when appropriate, sends kids back to the Bible to learn more, and is an all round must have reference for a Christian family with children.What I Dislike: Nothing, really, although it would have been nice to have pronunciation guides for some words.Overall Rating: Excellent.Kristina SeleshankoChristian Children's Book Review

    This review was written for Kids' Bible Dictionary.
    This is the best Bible dictionary for children that I've seen! I can't think of anything that I don't like about it. Definitions are clear; not too easy, not too difficult. The feature that I like most is the scripture reference for each entry.Kids' Bible Dictionary will be a valuable tool for time to come.
