After reading "McKenzie" the first book in the Montana Skies series by Penny A. Zeller I couldn't wait to read the second book "Kaydie".
"Kaydie" is a sweet love story, one that shows that the power of prayer can change even the most guarded hearts, and how out of a painful past, there can still be a future filled with love and happiness.

Love and trust wins out
Book 1 of the Montana Skies series by Penny Zeller, we met McKenzie, older sister of Kaydie. McKenzie was living in Boston with her wealthy, privileged parents and on the fast track for an arranged marriage to an appropriate man. However, she realizes her sister Kaydie is in dire straights and so McKenzie leaves Boston in search of Kaydie.
Book 2 in the Montana Skies series is about Kaydie and how her life goes from ruined and shattered to love, honor, and beauty. View the trailer about Kaydie.....
My thoughts: Kaydie found out the hard way that romance is not always what our hearts tell us. Kaydie's story is Book 2 in the Montana Skies series by Penny Zeller. In Book 1 of the series, McKenzie, Kaydie's sister, is searching for her sister who she knows is suffering at the hands of an abusive and dangerous husband.
Kaydie's husband exhibited no traits that would have given her or her family a clue of what would lay ahead for the dear Kaydie. Beatings. Starvation. Destitution.
Kaydie does escape that life at the end of McKenzie's story and that is where Kaylie's story picks up in Book 2, Kaydie. She is afraid of men. She is expecting a child by her deceased, abusive husband. But living with McKenzie and her husband on their ranch brings Kaydie face-to-face with loving, compassionate, caring people and brings her to the brink of romance.
Kaydie has come to faith in Christ and now needs to come to terms with trusting Christ to lead her in all aspects of her life. Her journey is sweet, tender, fearsome.
This is a sweet, tender read of learning to live again and living in Christ. It is one of learning to trust. An enjoyable read that is well written. A book I recommend.

My Favorite!
In this book, I loved Kaydie's soft-spoken nature and I especially loved Jonah's persistence in pursuing her even after he said he would never get married. I was on the edge of my seat when Cedric came into the picture up until the very end. It's so sweet and inspiring. And it will keep you turning the pages until the very end! What I love most about this series is that they are clean, decent and Christ-inspired. They are pure and sweet and will make you want to reread the books again!

Love this series!!!
My sister and I both read Kaydie and loved it. Since my sister doesn't have an account on Amazon, I'm posting both our reviews here.
My review:
This was another great book by Penny Zeller in her Montana Skies series. I loved the first book, McKenzie. And Kaydie was just as great. Penny is a wonderful writer. Her attention to detail helps you relate to the characters as if they were real. Each character has a unique personality that makes the story an enjoyable read. You can imagine being annoyed at Lucille for her nosiness and pride. You can imagine rolling your eyes at Kaydie and Mckenzie's mother as she spouts out haughty remarks. I especially loved the romance between Jonah and Kaydie. They are examples of what God intended true love to be. I am so excited to read the next book in the series, Hailee. Penny did an excellent job. I definitely recommend the whole series.

My sister's review:
Like Mckenzie, the first chapter in the Montana Skies series; this second book Kaydie is also an enjoyable and inspirational read. This book centers around Kaydie, Mckenzie's younger sister. While adjusting to motherhood, Kaydie is forced to make some difficult decisions. I loved watching Kaydie's newfound faith in God grow as she trusted him for guidance. As he does for us in real life, you can see in Kaydie's character; God working with her to overcome strongholds in her mind that were hindering her from following his plan. I highly recommend this book because it's full of lovable, godly characters and has a heartwarming storyline that leaves you feeling positive and inspired.
