Kay Arthur a four-time Gold Medallion award-winning author, an international Bible teacher, and founder of Precept Ministries International.
After returning from serving as missionaries in Mexico in the 1960’s due to medical issues, Kay and her husband, Jack, moved back to Chattanooga, Tennessee. There, Kay started a youth Bible study out of their living room, while her husband maintained a job as manager of a local Christian radio station. As Kay’s Bible study began to grow, Jack quit his job and refocused on expanding his wife’s ministry into what is now called Precept Ministries International.
Kay has written more than 100 books and Bible studies for people of all ages. Her Bible studies are available in nearly 70 languages and 150 countries. Precept Bible Study programs meet in all 50 states. In addition, she is the host of TV and radio show Precepts for Life, which boasts over 94 million listeners and viewers. Kay also speaks at various events.
Kay and Jack continue to live in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
