I have all three of Kathleen's CDs and they are truly a blessing. I think more than anything else, Kathleen's heart is for ministry - not for being a "recording artist." She definitely has amazing vocal abilities, but her music is primarily focused on the person of Christ and glorifying God, which I find refreshing these days (even in the midst of the Christian music scene). I have met her in person and she is the nicest person you will ever meet, and her heart is definitely for the Lord. My favorite song is "More Popular than Christ," and though it seems this song is meant towards non-believers, I believe this song is a commentary on Christians who would "live for the world" while supposedly following God's Son. Overall, she is a blessing and her music is anointed.

I am a hardcore music fan and musician, and have a good track record of discovering artists/bands that end up breaking through. As an music industry insider, I was on the cutting edge of Christian bands like Switchfoot, as well as secular acts like Sheryl Crow and My Chemical Romance. I only state this to indicate that I have a good ear for potential breakthrough artists. The second I heard the song "Just Another Day" from Kathleen Carnali, I knew this artist is special and destined for great things. From my perspective, I believe Kathleen Carnali will be a household name in the Christian community before long. You must check out this album and, in particular, the songs "Just Another Day" and "More Popular Than Christ" (which seems to be a commentary on the American Idol phenomenon). You'll definitely be glad you did. The music is well-written. The production value is top-notch. And the LYRICS...oh baby! Unabashed and to-the-point.Kudos, Kathleen Carnali!
