Book 2 in the Brides of the West series catches June on her trip out west. The story takes an unexpected turn not long after she reaches her destination but she makes the most of it and continues on with her life. I found myself rooting for Parker Sentell and hoping he had a place through the entire story.
It was overall a good book. Makes a nice bedtime reading. The characters are sweet and idea of being a mail-order bride is very interesting; but like Stacey said, dont expect any breathtaking romance or even that page turner adventure.
I love Lori Copeland's writing. She is quite talented. This story was entertaining, but predictable. Although it made me consider the cultural differences of the time, the characters didn't have much depth. It was worth the time to read just to learn more about the time period. But I wouldn't recommend it as a breathtaking romance.
