Even though this book was not what I really needed when purchased; I still give it five stars, because its a very well written book that will easily give the reader a great understanding of Judges.I highly recommend it. JC October 17, 2008

This is a first rate commentary. Dr. Davis thoroughly, interestingly, humorously, and reverently explains the text of Scripture. He magnifies God throughout; or, he shows how the Bible magnifies God throughout. When Dr. Davis' books are on the front cover of CBD's catalog instead of Joel Osteen's, I will believe the church is seeing revival. July 27, 2008

In this commentary Davis has an incredible insight into the text. He has the unique ability to summarize without cutting out the heart of the message.
