Honestly, the book felt insincere for the most part. Only when describing the forgiveness she had for her father did I ever feel like it was real. I did not like the perspective that it was written in. It felt like it was written with an ulterior motive as if to defend herself against the accusations that were made against her. She did not have to defend herself - God is her defender. June 20, 2012

Joyce Meyer explains how her life growing up and early adulthood was not so grand until she discovered the WORD and started to apply its messages to her life. The practicality of the everyday life applications make sense and I was able to relate to my own life experiences. Joyce donates the proceeds of her books to the underprivileged and has helped people all around the world, even providing wells for water and food relief to undeveloped areas where life is primitive at best. What a woman! What a success story of an individual who conquered with God and family overwhelming odds! May 26, 2010
