Written completely in narrative format, small abbreviations mark where students are to stop and complete a scroll exercise or exam along with the primary character, Tank. Each exercise is designed to practice what Tank (and the student) has just learned, though review questions are included to keep concepts fresh. Exams are cumulative and cover most of what's been taught in the text. An engaging story, winsome illustrations and clear, logically ordered explanations of grammar make this a fantastic curriculum for younger students, or a great review/remedial study for older students. Scrolls are arranged by chapter with briefly reiterated concepts and examples included.
