In My Journey Home Rita Carr speaks from her experience as a single mother, providing encouragement, advice, and practical life skills to parents who need answers. Through her own story, coupled with key wisdom gained from her experience as a licensed counselor, Rita shows readers why neglecting their emotional wounds can hurt them and their children. Readers will learn how to surrender to the Lord and start reaping the benefits of His help today.
Rita Carr has a bachelors degree in organizational behavior, a masters degree in education, and a doctorate in Christian counseling. She is a licensed counselor and is nationally certified as an alcohol and drug counselor. In 1997 the Lord used Rita to birth Hope Unlimited Ministry, an outreach to single mothers and their children. Through that organization, Rita has impacted the lives of single mothers in her area and around the world. She is the proud parent of three children and seven grandchildren.
