Submitted: June 03, 2001 Tell us a little about yourself. I am Professor of Old Testament at Bethel Theological Seminary, St. Paul, Minnesota. You may see more about me at my Web site at www.bethel.edu/~dhoward What was your motivation behind this project? I was asked by the publisher to write this commentary. I wanted to expound the text of the book of Joshua so that pastors and laypeople could know it, understand it, love it, and apply it. What do you hope folks will gain from this project? I hope they will catch a vision of the God exalted in this wonderful Biblical book. Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: I hope readers will gain much from this work. The feedback I have gotten from pastors, students, and colleagues who have used it is that the book is very easy to read, even though it is written by a Biblical scholar and gets very technical at times. The technical matters are confined to the footnotes or to separate excursuses, however, so readers can skip these if they like. Find Related Products |
