Gift for husband, he really enjoys lisening in car and at home.
He loves lisening to Johnny Cashs voice and reading along in his bible.

The Man in Black reads God's Word
You cannot improve on the Word of God. Still, with his distinctive voice and his ability to tell a story, Johnny Cash reading the New Testament made for a wonderful gift for my wife (which I intend to enjoy as well). The love and reverence he has for God's Word as well as the breadth of his Christian experience comes through. When Cash talks about forgiveness, you know he is talking from firsthand experience. We would have gladly gotten his rendition of the Old Testament had he been able to produce it.

Poor Quality Control
The CD's started skipping on the very first playback. I did manage to get them to play after a rigorous cleaning, but in my opinion, that should not have been necessary on a brand new CD.

The Man-of-God in Black
It was a thrill to learn that Johnny Cash, an artist I have long had very high regard for as a uniquely talented songwriter and musician, was also a man of God and fearless advocate for His word.
My opinion of this audio Bible is no doubt coloured by my affection for him. Listening to it reminds me of this bond between us, our love of Jesus, and kindles a tentative expectation of one day getting to chat with Johnny in the next life.
Even though it may not be in some respect as impressive a production as say my Alexander Scourby or my Max McLean version, I like it very much and it is the only audio rendition of the New Testament that I listen to these days.
