Michael Betz5 Stars Out Of 5February 14, 2008Michael BetzI have enjoyed many Bible study guides over the years. However, there are none better than those by Vernon McGee. He has a great insight to things Biblical. He points out details that we lay people just wouldnt realize. Beyond his gifted Bible knowledge he knows the historic background. He points out the Hebrew customs and events amplifying what is stated in the Word. In his books he speaks directly the reader, like a one on one instructor. I would highly recommend any of his books. This two volume set on the Gospel of John is particularly good. His teaching of the chapters on raising Lazarus and the Last Supper are outstanding.
