The best commentary on Job available today.

David Clines has done a commendable job with this volume. Scholars and specialists will doubtless be grateful for the extensive bibliographies, detailed notes and discussion of form, structure and setting. For the rest of us, the sections on "Comment" and "Explanation" are probably of greater interest. I must admit I spent most of my time reading these two sections - and they are very helpful and extremely well-written. I found the Introduction to be very interesting as well. Clines divides his "Introduction" into three sections he calls "Orientation to this Book," "Orientation to the Book of Job," and "Orientation to Books about Job." The second section covers most of the traditional introductory topics. But the other two sections are also very interesting. If there is any better commentary on Job, I haven't seen it.
