(I agree completely with this copy of Sandra Plate's review, please read all the #1 reviews) "This popular book was written by the method of a Hindu practice called "channeling." The New Age practitioners have adopted this practice, too. And sadly, so has Sarah Young. In the introduction she states that the Bible was not enough for her so she sought out other sources and started this "listening" practice. She claims to have heard God speak to her and wrote down everything He said. People, if this is true, then we need to open the Scripture Canon and insert this book! She states it is not "inspired" like scripture, yet she states that it is direct communication from God: that's what inspired scripture is!
This book is not innocent and helpful -- it is very dangerous. Please stay away and tell all you can to stay away!
This is a wonderful devotional, it speaks to your heart every day. I got this for my ladies bible study class and they love it! When we get together it is amazing how the ladies will talk about how a certain message spoke amazing things to them.
As I read the reviews, I've noticed that the vast majority of readers enjoy this devotional, just like me, and then there are a few who have written reviews that were not positive. I don't quite understand the negative reviews by others, but we're all entitled to our own opinion. Personally, this devotional has been quite inspirational for me and I've enjoyed it completely. We all have good days and we all have bad days, and I read this book on both good and bad days and it has been very uplifting, especially on the bad days. I recently purchased additional copies to give to my friends and I know that they will enjoy this book just as much as I do.
