This is a great book to briefly read each day at the dinner table and at prayer time at night. It is nice to have the biblical text already contained in the book so you do not have to look the passages up. The audience for the book starts at age 8 but actually goes up to adult. I definitely would purchase this again but I wish the book was longer.

I was very pleased when I received this book. Anything that is available that brings teenagers closer to God is a winner for me. As a mother of a teenage daughter I found this book to be a great resource for the challenges that this age group faces. They can easily go through the book by category and find helpful encouragement that is supported by scripture from the NLT version of the Bible. Easy to look up table of contents with wonderful graphics and illustrations. Includes 62 topics that we all face in life with scripture to help us with. I found this a great resource for not only teenagers but for adults as well. Topics such as abandonment, anger, heaven, repentance, sin, sacrifice, to serving God, judgement, and grief to name a few.I would highly recommend this to all the teenagers in your life and adults too..

Tween issues is what my current book review is all about. What Did Jesus Say? Bible Verses on Issues You Deal With by Tyndale House is a topical Bible built around 62 topics. Topics that tweens and even teens usually ask about.When this book arrived a few days ago, it was Artsy Princess who first devoured it. I watched her quietly as she sat down and browsed through the book. The pages are filled with interesting graphics relating to the topic. Each topic is introduced with a short commentary followed by several Bible verses on the topic. It ends with a summary and commentary leading the reader to think more about the topic. The topics are arranged alphabetically and explained very well. The Bible verses are taken from The Holy Bible New Living Translation which I love because this version is very easy to understand.Im glad that I requested to review this book. As I read through the book, I read it with a questioning mind being careful to see if there may be some commentary that I may not agree about. So far, the commentaries are practical, can be easily understood by the youth, and most importantly Biblically sound.What Did Jesus Say? Bible Verses on Issues You Deal With will definitely stay in our bookshelf for years and years to come. I expect it to be dog-eared from our constant reading of it.

This is a great book for kids (and adults) when trying to help them see what Jesus says about important topics like obedience, friendship, humility, and sacrifice. In a world full of people that have forgotten Biblical truths and principles, this book is a welcome addition to our family bookshelf. I'm sure we'll call on it to teach our children valuable nuggets of truth.Thank you Tyndale House Publishers for providing me a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!
