I wouldn't read this book if I were you. I wonder how old he was when he wrote this. He was terribly dishonest in this book. He claims that people who believe in the Biblical doctrine of a young earth also believe the earth is flat and that the young earth creationists never quote any verses to support there theory. Lie! This book is a great example of what happens when you let vain philosophy poison your mind. He does a poor job presenting his case for anything or refuting the other side. The description on the back of the book barley describes what's in the book. I was really disappointed.

A very good read with some good meat in it. Ravi is a very well studied person with the heartfelt and sincere Apologetic that is needed in defending the Christian faith. If you take this book to read as a start in Apologetics it may not be what you are looking for. However, it all boils down to what is true and what is not. This book I feel is centered more on Christian philosophy versus post-modern Apologetics that we need to reach those that cling to relativism . All in all a very good book that will get you thinking and give you some views on Islam and Hinduism and Buddhism. It should be in you collection for pre-evangelistic reference.

Dr.Ravi is not just philosophical he is a sound Apologist, and I find his book meaningful to my statement of faith. As a South African his book has helped me a lot in terms of Contextualising the Message of the Cross.

At first, Ravi's book was hard to follow. However, the more one ponders the words of Dr. Zacharias, the more they are able to see the wisdom and insite that they contain. This book might not be the best choice for an introduction to apologetics, but it is certainly an eventual must read.

Although Ravi Zacharias is a fine apologist, I cannot agree that he is the best philosophical apologist in the world, as a previous reviewer stated. Many of his arguments are not even strictly rational ones, but ones that appeal to the intuition and the emotion, and other subjective aspects of thinking. In contrast I submit that the best living apologist is probably Vincent Cheung. His strictly rational and biblical approach is unrivaled and invincible. I recommend reading his PRESUPPOSITIONAL CONFRONTATIONS and ULTIMATE QUESTIONS, available from his web site. Also, try Bahnsen's ALWAYS READY, available here at Christianbook.com.
