Dr. Curtis Vaughan is one of the most profoundly loved New Testament scholars Southern Baptists have ever had. When one reads his exposition of James it is not difficult to understand why he is so honored. The remarkable ability of Dr. Vaughan to take the difficult and the obscure and make it understandable and even gripping is disclosed herein. Do not miss this precious book.

Just Read5 Stars Out Of 5This Little Commentary Packs A Nice Punch!September 4, 2014Just ReadQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5In a nutshell, you will not be disappointment with this commentary. I was surprised at how well-outlined each passage was, and how the author addresses many textual issues. He does not use a lot of technical jargon, although any serious student of the Bible will find this book to be beneficial! I guarantee it. This book is written for the pastor, and the laymen. Matter of fact, I found commentators and pastors quoting or referencing this book.
As I was journeying through the Book of James, out of the ten commentaries that I used, by the time I got to chapter 3, my commentary usage narrowed to about five (meaning the others did not have much substance). This commentary was in the top three. It was so well organized, and gave me the insight and clarity that I needed.
Buy this commentary, and your money will be well spent.
