Jake's Choice started right where To Save A Life left off. It was interesting to follow Jake's and Amy's stories, and the story was very realistic. In this book, Jake is off at college and faces temptations which draw him away from God for a time. At the end of the book, though, Jake comes back to God. Amy, recently a Christian, is attending a college near home and faces challenges like befriending a girl who she finds out is being abused, which brings back memories to Amy from her childhood which she has to deal with. Amy also has some mountaintop experiences, like reconiliation and getting to know her dad again after 15 years. Like To Save A Life, I wouldn't recommend it for younger children due to some mature content, but it's great for teenagers on up. My mom, 16-year-old brother and I all read it and had a couple of good discussions about some of the issues Jake faced, particularly situations with his friend Grant, and why or why not Jake reacted to the situation in a way that he, as a Christian, should; also, how should I (as a Christian) treat others who live lifestyles that the Bible says are wrong. One of the biggest things about Jim and Rachel Britts' writing/movie is that it really makes me think about stuff in a new light. This was a good book and I'm glad I read it. I would certainly reccomend it. But be warned, the ending will leave you wanting more! :-)

When I received my copy of "Jake's Choice" I was very excited to read it. I have seen "To Save a Life" numerous times and love all the poignant messages it gives as well as the challenge it gave to really let what Christ did change how you treat others. So it was to my great surprise, horror, and displeasure did I find that the book contained so many things I thought I would never read in a Christian novel! I couldn't bring myself to finish it in good conscience due to content which one would expect to find in a secular romance novel!

It was page after page filled with Jake slowly but surely turning his back on God and those he said he loved!

Very disappointed in it! I do not recommend Anyone reading it!

good book! continues where To Save a Life left off. Jake's Choice is probably better for older readers as it discusses older topics. The book left quite a few loose ends at the end. Disappointing ending, otherwise well-written.

This book completely surprised me when I read it. I didn't think that a sequel to "To Save A Life" could be any good (I loved the first one, I just didn't know how you could possibly make a good sequel to it). But WOW! I was wrong! It seems to cover almost every difficulty a new college student can face, and I will make sure to read this again when it is my time for college. This book was not only full of helpful subjects and important lessons, it has a great, inspiring storyline. It never once made me bored, as it was quite entertaining and had me wanting to read it as much as possible. I would definitely suggest this book to people, especially seniors in high school or people preparing to go to college.

This was a fitting sequel! Picking up just where To Save a Life left off, this book takes our characters into very realistic life situations, real reactions and choices. My husband and I were reading this together, and we couldn't put it down. It was worth the time spent reading it, and we can't wait for the next installment!
