on Seeking Deliverance... Again
This is the second Joel Rosenberg book I've read this year and, though this is significantly shorter than Implosion it's no less significant. In fact, it provides an international complement to the domestic challenges described in Implosion. In less than 150 pages, Rosenberg lays out the intensity of the conflict in the Middle East and the potentially devastating impact it can have on the entire planet. For far too long, these threats and aggression have been overlooked or shrugged off, in hopes of preventing a war between Israel and Iran. But if we stop living in denial, it's clear that Israel is already at war with Iran and it's trending towards escalation.
Parts of this detailed account read like a spy novel, which makes for a compelling read. After the realization that these "stories" are accurate and true, the reader's only response can be one of urgency, gravity, and awe. Israel at War is clearly a call to action, one that underscores the importance of this week's election and America's foreign policy going forward. And one thing's for certain: having read this book, I look at news headlines with a different perspective and find more reasons to pray for our future generations.

An overview of the conflict between Israel & Iran
âÂÂIsrael at War: Inside the Nuclear Showdown with Iranâ by Joel C. Rosenberg came out earlier this year and gives a detailed look at what is going on in the middle east between Iran and Israel. Mr. Rosenberg goes into a lot of detail about what drives the leaders of each country and points out what is at stake if Iran fulfills their goals.
Having listened to other Christian speakers about this topic, Joel didnâÂÂt bring out much that I wasnâÂÂt already familiar with, but he put it all in a very well written package and for those that havenâÂÂt been following the developments from a Christian perspective, IâÂÂm sure it could be eye-opening for most.
Not only do I recommend it to others, but I pray that they will share it and the truths he has put forth with as many as possible.

Israel at War: Inside the Nuclear Showdown with Iran provides a well-documented summary of the Israel-Iran conflict, often hidden, that threatens to erupt into war. Since one of IranâÂÂs top goals is to destroy Israel and IsraelâÂÂs major goal is survival, there is obviously serious conflict.
While IranâÂÂs rhetoric is so radical that it seems unbelievable, IsraelâÂÂs anxiety is so contained that it seems minimal. At least to many, and at least for now. However, itâÂÂs obvious that something will have to happen. Since Iran is working hard to develop a nuclear arsenal, soon, the âÂÂsomethingâ that will happen could be massive. Since Iran wants to destroy the US as well as Israel, this âÂÂsomethingâ will affect much more than just the Middle East.
Rosenberg, an long-time expert in Middle East affairs, grapples with the questions: What will Netanyahu of Israel do to prevent this? Will the US do anything? And when? He analyzes the past, discusses the present from various angles, and even brings in the future as mentioned in Biblical prophecy.
Of course, Rosenberg can come to no firm conclusion, but it seems apparent that potential disaster may be looming.
Is there anything that can be done by the rest of the world? Joel C. Rosenberg and his wife have set up the non-profit Joshua Fund âÂÂto mobilize Christians to bless Israel and her neighbors in the name of Jesus according to Genesis 12: 1-3â¦.In the current geopolitical environment, our operating principle is very simple: Pray for peace and prepare for war.â RosenbergâÂÂs book Israel at War provides us with a summary we can use to inform our prayers.
I am not an expert on the Middle East, nor on Biblical prophecy. In fact, I hesitate to turn prophecy into immediate and specific predictions, preferring the approach of The Glorious Victory. Even so, during the current massive storm, it is obvious that God holds the world in his hands and that a massive military storm is also possible.
