James5 Stars Out Of 5The Invisible War is a 5-star ReadJune 1, 2015JamesQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I found this book to be a great learning experience. I have not encountered, in my experience, attacks as profound as the writer and some that he describes from other's experiences. But, since I came to the Lord Jesus which was in 2012, I have things that I should not be thinking about that just come out of nowhere into my thoughts. If worse attacks come I will be more prepared for battle against Satan and his cohorts. I highly suggest this book for all those that are saved or those that have enough knowledge of the Bible to understand the book.

artnkr5 Stars Out Of 5Excellent Research--HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!November 26, 2014artnkrWe are using this for our LifeGroup of sixteen adults and we are so pleased with Chip's research and his ability to communicate does not disappoint either. This is the second study we have used of his and this one is even better than the first one (which was good!) Chip does not speak in vague terms and platitudes but is bringing it down to the bottom shelf, backing it all with scripture. Whether you have walked with God for years or are newer to the faith... you will be blessed and strengthened by this teaching. HIGHILY RECOMMEND!!
Army MomAge: 45-54Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5July 18, 2014Army MomAge: 45-54Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This is one of the best books I have read on spiritual warfare. The author begins the book in what he call the basic truths. The first chapter is titled spiritual warfare 101 and it covers things like why do Christian struggle, what scripture says that we Christian's do have a personal enemy and the war that is going on behind the scene. From this chapter he lays the foundation of the fight that we are engaged in. He talks about how to do battle and how God delivers us. He talks about Jesus and He dealt with Satan. There are many references to scripture, both Old and New Testament about these things. But the main reference that the author returns to again and again is putting on the armor of God and prepare for battle. From there he moves on to how to prepare yourself for battle and how to fight to win. The last chapter deals with discernment, what is really demonic influence and what is not and spends several pages on the ministry of deliverance for those that have opened themselves up for demonic possession.
He also includes a great deal about the power of prayer. Not the "check the box" kind of prayer, but the deep soul wretching prayer that come from a deep need for God's will to be done. He encourages believers to learn to spend more time in prayer and to pray as the Holy Spirit leads.
What I found different about this book in comparison to many other books of this nature, is the fact that the author doesn't dwell on the enemy. Yes he points out who the devil is and some of the more obvious and not so obvious schemes, but there is much more attention paid to God and scripture. He puts the focus where it should always be, on God and reinforces the idea that we can do nothing in our own power. All our power come from God. I found an enormous amount of scripture that I had not either read or connected to the spiritual warfare arena. I know this will be a book that I will be referring to many times and will be encouraging other to read as well.
