The contributions to this volume all provide something of worth. However, the total contribution is very much mixed. T.B. Dozeman on "Numbers" is probably the strongest entry. Several of the contributors exhibit a low view of the historical reliability of the books they cover. This lack of sympathy with these texts which contain extensive historical content, makes this volume difficult to recommend.
