Product Description

This is the only complete interlinear Bible available in English and is also on one convenient volume. This interlinear is keyed to Strong's Exhaustive Concordance. Interlinears are a time-saving tool for you to research the subtle nuances and layers of meaning within the original biblical languages and this one features the complete Hebrew and Greek texts with a direct English rendering below each word, and it also includes The Literal Translation of the Bible in the outside column. Strong's numbers are printed directly above the Hebrew and Greek words which enables you to easily access a wealth of language reference works that are also keyed to Strong's such as Greek/Hebrew dictionaries, analytical lexicons, concordances, word studies, and more even if you do not know Greek and Hebrew. The Hebrew is based on the Masoretic Text and the Greek is from the Textus Receptus. The sources of the texts are documented in the preface, and are essentially the same (with some minor variations) to the Hebrew and Greek texts used by the KJV translators.

The only complete interlinear Bible available in English—and it’s keyed to Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance! Thousands of pastors, students, and laypeople have found The Interlinear Bible to be a time-saving tool for researching the subtle nuances and layers of meaning within the original biblical languages. Featuring the complete Hebrew and Greek texts with a direct English rendering below each word, it also includes The Literal Translation of the Bible in the outside column. But what truly sets this resource apart are the Strong’s numbers printed directly above the Hebrew and Greek words. Strong’s numbers enable even those with no prior knowledge of Greek or Hebrew to easily access a wealth of language reference works keyed to Strong’s—Greek/Hebrew dictionaries, analytical lexicons, concordances, word studies, and more.

The Hebrew is based on the Masoretic Text and the Greek is from the Textus Receptus. The sources of the texts are documented in the preface, and are essentially the same (with some minor variations) to the Hebrew and Greek texts used by the KJV translators.

I am not a Greek or Hebrew wiz kid, just me. Every now and then I get a bit heavy in my studies and I want to dig deeper. I am convinced this book will go much deeper than my needs so I am one who will say "I love it". For the lay person who is serious about The Word this is a real tool, not unlike having a good concordance at your side as a tool in your studies.

I read some of the reviews already given, by those who may well be light years ahead of me, and it seems like they are splitting hairs trying to find something to complain about. The complaints are mostly about the book as a book, not its content.

This will be with me until I meet my Lord and He will straighten me out.

I cannot express enough the textual CONNECTION-value of seeing each original-language (Hebrew/Greek) word, with its English equivalent printed beneath.

    Love it

I really love this book. It is one of the most used tools in my library as a writer and blogger. The only thing I would enjoy more is the large print editions when I can afford them. A project this large and extensive is expected to have errors; even Strong's has errors. What little I have found so far has been corrected with a fine-point pen and the use of my Bible software. There is little else that compares with the personal value of this book.

The text seems accurate so far as I've looked The problem is in the density of the inking. Some Hebrew letters look like the wrong ones; for example, the vertical stroke of a lamed is faint or absent and the letter resembles a resh. Nonetheless, if you are willing to take the time, this is worthwhile interlinear for the price.

I would refer this book to a friend, but I would not necessarily recommend it.

I was interested in utilizing an Interlinear Bible. I purchased this one without previously viewing the formatting and, upon retrospect, see this was a mistake on my part.

While the Hebrew and Greek character sets used for the work are decent enough, the print is too small and, especially in the Hebrew translation, packed too tightly onto the page to make reading easy. One must use a magnifying glass.

This work ideally ought to have been produced as a two-volume set in a slightly larger typeface so more room could be afforded the Hebrew OT translation.

A:

The English text is not any particular translation but is taken from the same original texts the KJV was derived from with the English wording, as much as possible, a literal translation of those texts. Because of differing grammatical rules, the transliteration located under the original text has been rearranged in order to make the literal translation paragraphing more readable.
