I found that the jump into the chords was a bit ambitious. The CD does not contain any video instruction, and I found the soprano voice accompaniment to be very distracting. Many of the songs are not common and did not provide much for inspiration. They seemed very juvenile in context. A more traditional hymn would have been better suited. Overall, it is a fair resource, but I am not sure that it is sufficient enough to use by itself.
It is not for self instruction. You will need to have someone knowledgeable that can play guitar. You will need to supplement with music theory resources as well.
Overall, I like it, but I found it lacking in content for what I would consider a semester course should contain, and it will require a teacher that knows the instrument well.
