This is one of the best recounts of how we got our "Bible" that I have ever seen. There is as much history here as in the Chapters of the the Bible. I will have to watch it several times to really appreciate all of the history.

This video is a well produced and narrated, Dr. Ken Connolly done a wonderful job as always. This DVD is tantamount to any work dealing with an overview of church history. It is very informative and gives a basic view of the progression of the gospel and the church to the present.

If I had only one DVD to watch for the rest of my life, this would be it. It's based on the late Dr. Connolly's equally wonderful book (inexplicably out of print), about which I wrote in the bibliography of Heaven Without Her: This book is a must-read for anyone who thinks that all sacred books are alike; it demonstrates conclusively, in less than 200 beautifully illustrated pages, that the Bible stands alone. Consider this chilling quote: “Some people were so committed to the belief that [the Bible] is God’s book that they were even willing to die for that proposition. And strangely, others have been willing to put them to death…” Read it and weep. Literally.

This an incredible DVD (with accompanying book). I first saw the video about 5 years ago and waited eagerly for it to come out in DVD foremat so as to share it with family members as a gift.
The production is well researched and tells the story of the Bible up to our present day, most often shot on location with welcome commentary from Ken Connelly. The Indestructible Book is detailed for someone that has studied the developement of the Bible including the Reformation. The presentation however is also very understandable so that anyone with a sincere interest in the topic will benefit. I am a physician by training but love the scriptures and have read and studied in depth about the coming forth of the English Bible, the Reformation and the Old and New Testaments manuscripts and I find I continue to learn and reflect on the marvelous story of The Indestructible Book. Thank you for the opportunity to share my thoughts.
