We believe there is tremendous power in each person's story.
Inciting Incidents combines the unique stories from six creatives (artists, musicians, writers, thinkers, and leaders) managing the tensions between their faith, their place in life, and their work as artists. It is a collective call to face life's imperfections and difficulties while attempting to do the great things we all want to do. By capturing this next generation's battle between idealism and reality-which is where so many of us find ourselves existing each day-these storytellers pave the way for a better understanding of those moments that truly shape us.
The reader will be challenged to use their own art and their own life stories to find their way in God's Kingdom. The end result is that God has created each of us, uniquely, and we each have a unique, growing part to play in His Story.
Dealing with topics like anxiety, leadership, creativity, and perfectionism-every creative has much to glean and commiserate within these pages.

Bookchic5 Stars Out Of 5Something DifferentSeptember 23, 2012BookchicQuality: 5Value: 4Meets Expectations: 5Inciting Incidents (Moody Publishers) is part story and part art. The visuals are a great addition to the stories.
The chapters are individual stories about a climax moment. The author of each story shows how these climaxes strengthened their resolve to be brave in a broken world.
I appreciate that each author makes it clear that there are no fairy tale endings. Life is hard but hope still triumphs. I will be passing my copy along to friends.
Jessica Heights5 Stars Out Of 5The Best Book I've Read In AgesSeptember 6, 2012Jessica HeightsQuality: 4Value: 5Meets Expectations: 4Inciting Incidents - by far the most unique thing I've consumed in a long time - is a small, fierce, powerhouse of a book.
The topics addressed in this book include battling depression, broken relationships, mental illness, the anxiety carrying wounds from past abuse, and more; each reaches deep down to reveal how each storyteller meets the reality - in a crystallized moment of clarity - that their lives are ultimately written by God, who uses these moments as a catalyst for His greater story.
The stories are raw and compelling; the text, graphics, and art combine to make this book a visual feast. It challenges and confronts, unsettling us as the subject matter niggles curiously close to home_and takes us just to the point of squirming discomfort before igniting and inspiring us to look deep into our own fears and hidden failings, asking where God will take us from there.
This is a stirring, stunning testament to the power of telling the truth, our stories, and the immeasurable power of the grace of God. I highly recommend this book!!!
