Eylise Fitzpatrick's book, Idols of the Heart, to be so direct at a problem that seems to raise its head among many, including Christians. The book is an easy read and its directness brings out the areas to watch for in our own lives that could become idol factories to coin a phrase from John Calvin. The hope to live free from idolatry is clear in this work. It is a must read. March 23, 2010

This book is fantastic, an excellent reminder how idols of today polute our thinking our actions and our soul. We are no different than the Isralites. This book is well written and based on scripture. I highly recommend it. January 1, 2010

I am about halfway through this book, and I am amazed at how the Holy Spirit is using the truths of this book to work in my heart for God's glory. Every chapter goes deeper and deeper into the issues of idols of the heart..and really teaches the subtle ways those idols hide there until they are uncovered and crushed. I am thanking God for leading me to this book. June 11, 2008
