Once you start reading this book, you won't want to set it down until you have finished. There is a very good chance you will cry after reading this. I was on a plane when I read this book and, despite how much I hate crying in front of people, I was practically weeping. Jeremy does a great job depicting how God truly does work all things to the good to those who love Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8: 28). This story also proves that we are merely instruments in God's hands (Isaiah 10). For those who have gone through a tragic loss, I would highly encourage you to read this. Even through the darkness, the pain, and the vulnerability, God truly can heal us even when all seems lost.
The book is excellent. I could not put it down once I started reading it. There were times I cried, laughed, and laughed so hard I was crying. Jeremy gives a heart felt, very open look into his life and how God has shaped it. The book focuses mostly on his life before he married his current wife Adie and does not mention anything about his son that was born 3 weeks ago. Many of the chapter titles are titles of or lines from his songs. As I read the book, I would have many of his songs going through my mind and a deeper understanding of what he was going through or went through when each song was written. This book is definitely a must read. Just be prepared to have tissues available.
