Katie5 Stars Out Of 5August 21, 2010KatieHungry for More of God gives a refreshing angle to Bible characters. Dr. Currie's stories back up what he is illustrating. He pulls together tidbits of other scholars to make the Bible come more alive to the reader. The study questions make this a ready group discussion or great individual read. Currie helps us look for the meat of the Bible. Thumbs up to the writer. Looking forward to more of Currie's writings.
Theresa5 Stars Out Of 5December 31, 2004TheresaThis book is both challenging and enriching! Never have I read a book that pulled such deep longings from my soul and then provided a safe place of mercy and grace on which to lay them. Rob Currie's rich use of analogies between biblical lives and our lives today is both outstanding and thought provoking. I have used this book in a small group Bible study. The questions at the end of each chapter promote deep and revealing discussions that encourage others to share their struggles and grow. I strongly recommend this book for personal or group study!
Ellen Greene5 Stars Out Of 5March 1, 2004Ellen GreeneHUNGRY FOR MORE OF GOD: A RECIPE FOR A RICHER RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD, by Dr. Rob Currie, refreshes the mind. His forgiveness recipe offers practical and doable advice. The other twelve chapters in this book also provide inspirational, thought-provoking material that is appropriate for individual or group study. Rob Currie seasons his illustrations with lesser-known people from the Bible, but he has remembered to add the salt of the greats. HUNGRY FOR MORE OF GOD will fill the appetite of both the long-time student of God and of those beginning their faith adventure.
