Shipping within the continental United States

For orders delivered to a physical address (not a P.O. Box) within the continental United States, Christianbook.com offers three distinct shipping methods.  They differ in price based on the length of delivery time. Standard Service is our most inexpensive shipping method. It generally takes 1 to 2 weeks for delivery though can take up to 3 in some cases.  Our Premium Service takes an estimated 4 to 8 business days (not weekends or holidays) for arrival after it ships.  We also offer Express Service which takes about 2 to 5 business days for delivery from the date it is shipped.  2-Day shipping is also available which takes 2 business days from when it ships. On Express and 2-Day Orders, any order placed by 10:00 a.m. (Eastern Standard Time) will ship that same day (weekends and holidays excepted). We've listed our shipping charges and other particulars on our rate chart so that you may see how each of the services compare. Please note that these shipping methods are only available to our U.S. customers.

Shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, or Puerto Rico

When shipping to Alaska, Puerto Rico, or Hawaii, only our Standard or Express shipping methods are available.  Our Premium Service is available within the continental United States only.  See our rate chart for pricing information.

Shipping to Canada

If you are shipping to Canada, please check our rate chart for shipping times and costs of your order (listed in USD). Currently, we offer only Standard Canadian Service to our Canadian customers.  We will add GST or HST (when applicable) to your order if you process it on our site.

Other international shipments

If you will be shipping internationally, please consult our rate chart for shipping times and costs of your order.  Generally we ship international orders by sea-mail only.  We are willing to send international orders by airmail, but we find that the cost is prohibitive for most folks. If you would like information about airmail prices for international orders, please e-mail our Order Department for more information. Be sure to include your address and order information (stock numbers, quantities, etc.) in your e-mail so that we can quote an accurate price for you.

Shipping to an APO or FPO address

Please note that orders being shipped to APO/FPO addresses can be upgraded to include Postal Air Lift (PAL) to expedite delivery, if you check the appropriate box during the order process. This upgrade is available only for Standard Shipping.

8.2 How do I ship Framed Art from Christianbook.com?

The majority of our framed art can be shipped to any address in the continental U.S. (not Alaska or Hawaii) via any shipping method we offer. Due to size restrictions, a few framed art pieces as well as other large products cannot be shipped via standard delivery. These same pieces cannot be shipped to Canada or anywhere outside the continental U.S. If you have any questions regarding shipping of framed art, please feel free to contact us.

8.3 How do you calculate shipping charges for orders?

Postage is based on the total cost of your order, not the weight of the package. When you complete your order at Christianbook.com, our online ordering system will automatically calculate the postal charges based on the total cost of the particular order, so there's no need for you to figure it out for yourself.  If you'll be using our printable order form to mail your order to us, you may want to consult our online rate chart for more pricing information.

8.4 I just placed an order with you.  When will it ship out?

Provided that the items on your order are in stock, we will begin to process it immediately -- within 24-48 hours of receipt during business days.  On Express and 2-Day Orders, any order placed by 10:00 a.m. (Eastern Standard Time) will ship that same day (weekends and holidays excepted). Once you've placed an order at Christianbook.com, you will receive an e-mail confirmation saying that we've received and are processing your order. You will receive a second e-mail notifying you that the order has been shipped.  Out-of-stock items are shipped when they become available. If Premium, Express, or 2-Day shipping was chosen on the original order, Christianbook.com reserves the right to ship backordered items by a downgraded shipping method.

8.5 How soon can I expect to receive my order?

Provided the items in your order are in stock, we'll ship your order within 24-48 hours of receipt during business days. Once a package has shipped out, if you are shipping to a domestic U.S. address, Standard Service usually goes via U.S. Post Office and  generally takes 1 to 2 weeks for delivery (up to 3 in some cases). Premium Service takes about 4 to 8 business days (not weekends or holidays). Premium service is available only in the Continental U.S. (not available in AK, HI or PR). A street address is required (no PO boxes). Express Service takes about 2 to 5 business days (not weekends or holidays).

8.6 Is it possible to send someone a gift directly from you?

Yes!  Sending a gift from Christianbook.com is quick and easy.  Christianbook.com products make great gifts, and our selection will allow you to find something for everyone on your gift list. When completing your online order, simply check the box marked "Is this a gift?" in the "Ship to" section.  We'll do the rest. We'll include a packing list (without prices) along with the gift to the recipient and send the invoice (with prices) to you. You can even add a note to the order in the "Gift Message" section.  Our gift shipping method is easy and reliable, and your friends are certain to love the selection!

8.7 Do you ship internationally?

Christianbook.com regularly receives international orders, and we are happy to ship to anywhere in the world. If you are shipping to Canada, please consult our rate chart for shipping times and costs for your order (listed in USD). 8.8 How do I ship Computer Software from Christianbook.com?

We offer free ground postage (Standard or Premium) on computer software provided that it is shipped within the continental United States along with other items from Christianbook.com.  When computer software is sent via Express Service or Two-Day, a shipping fee ($7.50 or $11.00 respectively) will be charged. If Standard or Premium shipping is chosen, but the software is the only purchase, a shipping fee ($3.50 or $5.50 respectively) will be added.
