You said if I follow you, I will never walk in darkness. Then why have I fallen into this black hole, this pit of melancholy? Why did you take my spouse and leave me in this pitch dark? And then you remind me of this verse, “Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” That’s what I’m forgetting, Lord. You promised that your light is always there. So I’m really never in the darkness as long as I focus on your light. Forgive me, Lord. Prayer focus for today: Those with infertility problems.
