Meet Karen Scalf Linamen
Karen Scalf Linamen was dubbed by Literary Guild "the queen of good humor and common sense" while Publishers Weekly describes her writing as "funny, forthright and unforgettable."
The author of nine humorous self-help books for women, Karen Linamen is known for her conversational style, laugh-out-loud wit and practical advice. Her titles include CBA Bestseller Just Hand Over the Chocolate and No One Will Get Hurt, Chocolatherapy: Satisfying the Deepest Cravings of Your Inner Chick, and I’m Not Suffering From Insanity (I’m Enjoying Every Minute of It).
A frequent public speaker and media guest, Linamen has been featured on more than 100 radio programs including "Family Life Today." Television appearances include "The 700 Club," "Good Day Dallas," "The PTL Club" and "On Main Street." She is also a recipient of an Angel Award, and two of her books—"The Parent Warrior" and "Pillow Talk" received recognition as finalists for the ECPA Gold Medallion Award. Formerly an associate editor with Focus on the Family, she also produced the television program "Faithways," which aired Sunday mornings on KCBS-TV in Los Angeles. She has also served as Contributing Writer with Today’s Christian Woman Magazine and humor columnist for the Women of Faith website.
Reviewers and readers alike agree: Linamen gets to the heart of what matters to women — the health of our souls, bodies, emotions and relationships. The fact that she takes a circuitous route through hilarity and chaos only makes the journey all the more memorable.
Karen lives with her family in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
