Meet Denise George

Denise George is a full-time writer and speaker with several awards to her credit. She is the co-editor of the Library of Christian Classics and co-author of the History of Christianity video/workbook series, which won the 2001 Platinum Award at the international film festival, WorldFest Houston. She is also the co-author/co-editor of The Library of Baptist Classics.

Denise has published more than 1,200 articles in magazines such as Redbook, Essence, Guideposts, Christianity Today, Decision, Lutheran Digest, Catholic Diges, and more. She also writes for Chuck Colsonís BreakPoint daily radio show. She is a contributor to The Womanís Study Bible, and The Family Worship Bible.

In her latest book, Come to the Quiet: The Secrets of Solitude and Rest, Denise encourages her readers to sort out their priorities and find a healing place of peace and solitude. In An Unexpected Christmas: The Journey of Johnny Cornflakes, learn about true humility, service, and the special meaning of Christmas. Denise is also the author of Godís Heart, Godís Hands, and Kids Can Talk to God.

In addition to writing, Denise is also a speaker who has lead seminars and workshops. She teaches a writing class for pastors and ministers at Beeson Divinity School.

Denise and her husband, Timothy, live in Alabama; they have two children.
