Meet Mindy Starns Clark

Author and speaker Mindy Starns Clark was born in Louisiana. She attended Southeastern University in Hammond before transferring to Clemson University in South Carolina, where she graduated with a B.A. in English. After graduating, Mindy worked as a copywriter, marketing/PR specialist, technical writer, and documentation supervisor. Upon the birth of her daughter, Mindy became a stay at home mom and part time freelance writer. She wrote plays, technical manuals, articles, and textbooks. Mindy later added comedy and music performances at senior clubs, retirement communities, and nursing homes to her resumé.

Mindy started writing by trial and error, writing several books, including a 2,000 page novel, before her debut into Christian fiction, A Penny for Your Thoughts, the first installment in The Million Dollar Mysteries series which features business investigator Callie Webber. The Million Dollar Mysteries is currently comprised of A Penny for Your Thoughts, and two other books, Don’t Take Any Wooden Nickels, and the soon to be released A Dime a Dozen.

Mindy and her husband, John, live near Valley Forge, Pennsylvania with their two daughters and a Shih Tzu named Cosette.
