Meet Edna Ellison

Popular speaker Edna Ellison has led women’s conferences in London, Frankfurt, Panama City, and other cities across Europe, South America, and Middle America. She has also spoken to women in nearly every state in the U.S., including Alaska and Hawaii. Edna has been featured in LifeWise (a Focus on the Family magazine for Christians over 50), and her books have been reviewed in Virtue and Publisher’s Weekly, along with other publications.

Ellison has degrees from the University of South Carolina, Converse College, and Presbyterian College, and a Ph.D. from the University of Alabama. She has taught at California Baptist University, Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary, New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, and the University of Alabama.

Edna has worked as a high school English teacher, a magazine editor, and a consultant/director of women’s work in several states. Her books include Woman to Woman and Seeking Wisdom, both of which were co-authored with Tricia Scribner, Friend to Friend, and her upcoming book, Friendships of Faith, a study of the book of Hebrews.

Edna lives in South Carolina; she has two grown children and a granddaughter.
