Meet David Adam

Before attending theological college at the age of 18, David Adam worked as a coal miner. He served as a clergyman in various parts of England until 1990. Today he looks after the small community on the island of Lindisfarne and cares for the thousands of visitors who go there each year.

Adam has become an authority on the ancient Christianity of the Celts, and has written several books on Celtic prayer. His works include The Edge of Glory, The Cry of the Deer, Traces of Glory, Island of Light: An Illustrated Collection of Prayers, and Landscapes of Light: An Illustrated Anthology of Prayers, which pairs Adamís prayers with Robert Cooperís photographs of Lindisfarne.
