Meet Lynn Austin
Lynn Austin is, first and foremost, a mother and wife; however, she is most well known as an author. “Writing had long been a dream of mine,” said the popular novelist, “but as a busy wife, teacher, and mother, I never seemed to find the time to begin.”
After retiring from teaching in 1992, Lynn focused her efforts on her family and set aside time to write each day during her children’s naps. Since then she has published twelve novels. Hidden Places, Candle in the Darkness, and Fire by Night won Christy Awards in 2002, 2003, and 2004 for excellence in Christian Fiction. Hidden Places was made into a Hallmark movie, and actress Shirley Jones received a Emmy Award nomination in 2006 for her role in the film. Lynn’s novels are distinct due to their high attention to historical accuracy, sometimes requiring five years of research on a particular era.
Other books by Lynn Austin include A Proper Pursuit, Until We Reach Home, A Woman's Place, All She Ever Wanted, and the Chronicles of the King series.
After residing in Colombia, Indiana, Ontario, and Manitoba, she now lives with her husband and children in Illinois.
