Meet Anita Corrine Donihue |
Anita Corrine Donihue has been ministering alongside her husband, Bob, for over 35 years. The “fuel” for her work as a pastor’s wife, mother of five, and special needs teaching assistant has been active Bible study and lots of time in prayer! Anita’s sustaining relationship with God is reflected in her warm-hearted devotional bestsellers, When I’m on My Knees, When I’m Praising God, When I’m in His Presence, and When God Sees Me Through. The next eagerly awaited installment of the “When” series, When I Hear His Call, is due out in November 2001.
Anita got her start writing by co-authoring three gift books—Apples for a Teacher, Joy to the World, and A Teacher’s Heart—with her mentor and friend, Colleen Reece. Her experience working with special needs children has also prompted her to write freelance articles on the subject, such as “Seven Things Disabled Kids Want You to Know” in Focus on the Family Magazine and “A Little Child Shall Lead Them” in the Mennonite Brethren Herald.
Anita is the proud mother of five sons and grandmother of seven grandchildren. She and her husband live in Auburn, Washington.
