Meet Nancy Kennedy

Nancy Kennedy became a Christian at age 23 when she surrendered her life to Jesus Christ in the ladies' room of the supply warehouse at Loring Air Force Base, Maine. She attends Seven Rivers Presbyterian Church in Lecanto, Fl.

"I love my life," says Kennedy with her trademark humorous flair. "I'm incredibly average, basically clueless, always self-centered. I love Hershey's Hugs, e-mail, my black slacks which are really a size 14 (but the tag said size 12!), old Beatle songs...and knowing that there's no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus."

As a freelance writer since 1989, Kennedy's work has appeared in Reader's Digest, Christian Parenting Today, Virtue, Marriage Partnership, Parents of Teenagers, Moody Magazine, Aspire, and many other publications. She's also the religion reporter for her local daily paper, the Citus County Chronical.

She is the author of the hilarious Help! I'm Being Intimidated by the Proverbs 31 Woman, Mom On the Run, and Honey, They're Playing Our Song. Recent books by Nancy include: Prayers God Always Answers--which addresses the hows and whys of prayer with insights to transform people from "prayer wimp" to "prayer warrior"; Move Over Victoria--I Know the Real Secret--about how to set aside what ties women down and be freed by God; When He Doesn't Believe--explores crucial issues and emotions, and offers biblical truth, practical help, and comforting insights for those in "unequally yoked" relationships; and When Perfect Isn't Enough explores how women can accept themselves as they are. In her upcoming book, Between Two Loves, Nancy offers sound advice and encouragement will sustain women as they minister to their husbands and serve the Lord with a joy-filled heart.

Married since 1975 to Barry, the Kennedy's live in Inverness, FL. They have two daughters, Alison and Laura.
