Meet David Jeremiah

David Jeremiah is the founder of Turning Point Radio and Television Ministries and the senior pastor of Shadow Mountain Community Church. His Turning Point 30-minute radio program is broadcasted on over 1800 stations worldwide. In 1999, he receive the Broadcaster of the Year Award from National Religious Broadcasters and in 2002, received the Award of Merit from the Western Chapter of National Religious Broadcasters for Excellence in Broadcasting and Faithfulness in Service. The turn of the century marked the beginning of Turning Point Television which is seen in over 90 million homes in the United States and Europe each week.

The beginning of his pastoral career was marked by his creation of Blackhawk Baptist Church in Fort Wayne, Indiana, which grew from seven families to 1300 member in the twelve years he served as senior pastor. There, he also started a Christian K through 12 school. In 1981, David relocated to California where he became the senior past of Scott memorial Baptist Church (now known as Shadow Mountain Community Church).

David is also a best-selling author. Some of his books include: Escape the Coming Night, The Power of Encouragement, What the Bible Says About Angels, Prayer The Great Adventure which brought him The Gold Medallion Award in 1998, God In You, Gifts from God, Jesus Final Warning, A Bend in the Road, Slaying the Giants in Your Life, and My Heart’s Desire which gave him another Gold Medallion Award in 2003.

David earned his Bachelor of Arts from Cedarville College, where his father was the President, and then went on to receive his Masters in theology from Dallas Theological Seminary. Eventually he was received a Doctor of Divinity degree from Cedarville.

He and his wife, Donna, have four grown children and eight grandchildren.
