Growing pains. Can you remember what they felt like? Shooting, aching pain. Parents may have tried to comfort us by saying, "This is a good thing, though it doesn't feel that way right now."  They were right. It was nice to get bigger. You could reach things you couldn't before. You could  make new friends as you grew and matured.

Christian Book Distributors has been growing. That's a good thing. But it hurts, too. Just a few years ago we built a new facility thinking it would serve our needs for a long time to come. Then came the World Wide Web. Since you're reading this right now, you have some grasp on its abilities to reach people with lots of information. It allows people to type a few keystrokes and be able to access enormous amounts of data.

What that means for us is that folks can now search our entire product line without us sending them a catalog two inches thick. Since we no longer have to print a product in a catalog for people to know we have it, we can carry a lot more products. In fact, last year we doubled our product offerings. But what about our new facility we built not long ago? Well, it wasn't big enough. There were so many more products we wanted to be able to offer you but we didn't have room for them all. Ouch!

How do you get through growing pains? You grow up. In our case we're building up. We've put a second floor above our warehouse just to make room for all the items we want to make available.
