Travis Vaughan4 Stars Out Of 5March 25, 2001Travis VaughanIn this day and age distance learning is on the rise and many denominations now have leadership training available via correspondence. As one in preparation for ministry via this route, I found that preaching isn't always covered as thoroughly as theology, church government, and the like. I found this book to be of great help when I was introduced to preaching, and would highly recommend it as a primer for any layperson or elder called to preach. Having said that, I would add that it isn't a thorough treatment on homiletics, and the author makes that clear. For this reason alone I would suggest that anyone who is experienced in the pulpit make another selection.
