Gathered from Bunyan's many reflections on prayer in his writings, this new collection on prayer has been edited for today's readers. Archaic language has been rendered in more contemporary English without destroying the beauty and style of Bunyan's Elizabethan expression. This devotional provides great insight into the nature of prayer and will enrich and deepen your experience of prayer and God.

Nosakhare Igbinoba4 Stars Out Of 5August 12, 2010Nosakhare IgbinobaAlthough, recently purchased the book, how to pray in the Spirit, I have found the book very interesting and informative. God is a spirit, and to pray or ask Him for something truly must be in the spirit. The book therefore, is a tool for any one who really wants to pray in the spirit. It addresses the preparations before praying to God and it also helps in minimising blabing in prayer(s). We do not have to be canally minded when praying, for the weapons of our warfare are not canal, but mighty through God for the pulling down of strong holds (2 corinthians 10:4 ) The book is a good buy and would impress on fellow Christians to do the same. God Bless.
Roger3 Stars Out Of 5October 10, 2007RogerThe book is pricey for a 135 page paperback, expecially when shipping is added. It is a wonderful rework of Bunyans thoughts and his prayers. Parkhurst has done a very good job updating Bunyan.
