I've always liked Skip's teaching style and this book truly reflects that as well. It's got all the ingredients in a good lesson: principles, supporting ideas, and germane examples to demonstrate the application of the ideas.This book breaks down the studying process into clear steps. This makes it easy to follow. As usual, Skip uses a lot of cool quotes to express his ideas. I personally like these quotes very much. I also like the illustrations used in this book to explain their intents. They help me understand the ideas better.I am currently planning a new Sunday school class on Bible study techniques, I am using this book extensively in my lesson planning. July 14, 2005

If you are starting off new in the Christian life or if you are a seasoned believer you need to read this book. It is easy to read, very well organized and should speak to all people of all ages. I have sat under the teaching ministry of Mark Bailey, Bible Study Methods at Dallas Seminary and I can tell you that this book is as good as the text that we used at DTS. HIGHLY Recommend and I plan on using it as part of my teaching Bible Study Methods in the church this Fall. July 16, 2002
