This is a very good collection of articles about the history of Eastern Orthodox Church. Of course, being what it is, it is truly a history of Christianity at large, since all of Christianity was rooted in these traditions from the early centuries of the Church. It wasn't until the 10th Century that the official split between the Eastern Orthodox and Western Roman Catholic occurred, never to be remedied. As it was the duty of the early Church Fathers to weed out heresies and to write and adhere to a Creed that would last until the Second Coming of Christ, throughout the centuries the Nicene Creed has not been changed and will remain central to the declaration of beliefs of Orthodox Christians. This edition of "Christian History" is well worth the read, and will shed light upon the rich and unwavering traditions the early Church, as preserved in what is known today as the "Eastern Orthodox Church."
