Don Brown is the author of Thunder in the Morning Calm, The Malacca Conspiracy, The Navy Justice Series, and The Black Sea Affair, a submarine thriller that predicted the 2008 shooting war between Russia and Georgia. Don served five years in the U.S. Navy as an officer in the Judge Advocate General's (JAG) Corps, which gave him an exceptional vantage point into both the Navy and the inner workings "inside-the-beltway" as an action officer assigned to the Pentagon. He left active duty in 1992 to pursue private practice, but remained on inactive status through 1999, rising to the rank of Lieutenant Commander. He and his family live in North Carolina, where he pursues his passion for penning novels about the Navy. www.donbrownbooks.com Facebook: Don-Brown
Jo Anne Lang4 Stars Out Of 5May 27, 2010Jo Anne LangLoved the 1st book and now this one, I could not put it down. So sorry book number 3 is not available. I even called the publisher and they don't have it either. The story is very current to things going on right now. It is a page turner.
Craig Willis4 Stars Out Of 5September 4, 2009Craig WillisWell written, held my attention. I was a little concerned as to whether Wendy Poole was interested in Zack as more than a friend while the search for Diane was still going on. On the publishing side, a few comments: On the back side of the first inside page, under 'Also by Don Brown', book 2 is titled as "Defiance", yet the facing page says "Hostage" is book 2. Is there a third book? Lastly, on page 326, Judge Norgaard is identified on the 5th line of the page as Judge Brewer. Sloppy job of proofreading.
Lt Col Glenn D Scott5 Stars Out Of 5September 10, 2008Lt Col Glenn D ScottIf you like the TV shows JAG and NCIS you will love this book. It combines military, legal, and love in a Christian fiction action story that draws you into the story in the first few pages. I couldn't wait to get started on book three. Glenn D. Scott, Lt Col USAF Retired.
Judith Miranda4 Stars Out Of 5October 3, 2007Judith MirandaBetter than Mr. Brown's first book, Treason. He seems to get better with more experience. Nice to have a book without all the bad words and sex that so many authors have included.Have read the third book "Hostage" in the series. It is even better.
